Great shots!! What camera did you get? I am dying for a good SLR.
We would highly recommend getting a DLSR - we have the Nikon D40 and it is awesome. The D60 is the newer model (and a couple hundred dollars more than the D40), and it has more megapixels than the D40 (10 vs. 6), but unless you're blowing pictures up to poster-size 6 mp is plenty. You can get pretty good package deals at ritzcamera.com (no shipping charge or sales tax) - they, like most places, also have some good package deals (bonus lenses, carrying cases, etc.). From our research, everyone seems to be very happy with the Nikons and Canon EOS Rebels - comes down to personal preference.
So is Luke happy or sad? Inquiring minds want to know.
